Committees

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee develops recommendations for the Board of Directors to assist CCADV in ensuring responsible stewardship of the organization’s financial resources. Duties include, but are not limited to: reviewing monthly financial statements; making recommendations for the budget, the annual audit, and investments; and assisting the staff with the development and maintenance of good accounting procedures.

Board Development Committee

The Board Development Committee solicits and interview potential Board candidates, presents nominations to the Board of Directors for approval, assembles the slate to be presented to the membership at the Annual Meeting. The Board Development Committee also plans and executes any activities needed for the benefit of the Board. 

Personnel Committee

The Personnel Committee generates and updates policies and procedures that affect CCADV staff on personnel matters. The committee is responsible for establishing a search committee when hiring the Executive Director position for CCADV and is also responsible for annual evaluations of the Executive Director.

Program Oversight Committee

The Program Oversight Committee provides oversight to the CCADV Membership Agreement and all sub-contracts that CCADV holds with its Member Programs. It serves as the Committee that reviews Member Program grievances and makes recommendations to the Board, including recommendations regarding Member Program corrective actions or involuntary terminations as outlined in the CCADV Standards Compliance Process.

Public Policy Committee

The Public Policy Committee coordinates public policy efforts of CCADV. The committee provides guidance to CCADV for its legislative agenda, review bills as they become available, giving priority to bills that directly impact victims of domestic violence.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee works to promote awareness of domestic violence. It assists in determining communications priorities, overseeing branding efforts, and managing relationships with the media.

Domestic Fatality Review Committee

The Domestic Fatality Review Committee works towards the reduction of domestic fatalities through multi-disciplinary review of adult domestic fatalities in Connecticut; though inter-disciplinary training and community based prevention education; and through data driven recommendations for legislative and public policy advocacy. 

LGBTSADV Task Force 

The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Sexual Assult Domestic Violence Task Force supports LGBT organizations, domestic violence programs, and sexual assault crisis centers to better outreach and serve LGBT individuals who are experiencing domestic/dating violence through outreach, training and education.
