This Guide contains in a simple and direct question and answer format, important information about the state’s criminal and civil court remedies for people experiencing abuse from a family or household member. It also includes a Resource Directory of state, court and community-based programs. This Guide is available in English and Spanish.

At the heart of this booklet is the belief that everyone can help stop domestic violence if given the tools and information. Domestic Violence Awareness Campaign Materials
The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence has domestic violence awareness campaign materials for display at your office, business or any high traffic public areas. Our campaigns are not just for victims, but for bystanders including friends, family members and co-workers. Our goal is to educate the public about the effects of domestic violence on families and to find ways in which we can all work together to promote safety and eliminate domestic violence in our communities. Display items include posters, brochures and palm cards. All items are available in both English and Spanish.

In Connecticut, victims of domestic violence have rights that are protected by law. CCADV has printed victim rights cards that are available upon request.
