Members of the 2015 Class of First 100 Plus

Thank you for supporting CCADV's 5th Annual First 100 Plus Breakfast and Awards Ceremony!

We are so pleased to have begun honoring both men and women in our fifth year. CCADV is grateful for the collective impact of over 500 individuals across our state working to raise awareness and advance strong policy and practice directed at meeting the needs of victims and their children. None of our advances over the years would be possible without these individuals.

Funds raised through the First 100 Plus Breakfast & Awards Ceremony are utilized to support our public awareness efforts, work not traditionally supported by government grants. Our state has averaged 14 intimate partner homicides annually over the past decade with few of those victims ever having availed themselves of services prior to their deaths. Your generosity directly impacts our efforts to ensure that every victim of domestic violence knows where to turn for help.

We want to thank and recognize our generous sponsors for their ongoing support - Presenting Sponsor, Verizon; Breakfast Champion, Dominion; CCADV Defenders - Cablevision Comcast, ESPN, Mohegan Sun, and Webster Bank; and CCADV Advocates - Eversource, Locke Lord, O'Brien, Tanski & Young, and Tyler & Lindsay Wilkinson.

Additional Honorees:

About our honorees...

The Jackson Family - On May 7, 2014, Lori Jackson, a young mother of two taking all of the right steps to keep herself and her children safe, lost her life trying to end an abusive relationship. Through their grief and unimaginable loss, Lori's parents, Merry & Douglas, sister Kacey and other loved ones tirelessly advocated for increased protections for all victims of domestic violence, attending several hearings and events at the CT General Assembly to tell their story in hopes of preventing another family from experiencing such tragedy.

Robinson+Cole - Robinson+Cole has long sponsored several programs at local courts where lawyers in their firm provide pro bono assistance to victims seeking civil restraining orders. The firm has recently worked to establish a larger network with additional firms so that more victims may be reached throughout the state.
