Self-Care Isn't Selfish

Friday, October 14, 2022
Noon - 2:00pm

YWCA Greenwich

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we invite you for an afternoon of Restorative Self-Care

Resilience is the ability to recover quickly from difficulties. As friends, family members, neighbors, and helping professionals, we support those we care about to face adversity. But, what happens when the helper is overwhelmed? Burnout! We are left feeling emotionally drained, often unable to function well at work or at home with little to nothing left to give.

Prioritizing one's own needs through restorative self-care is a learned skill that, with regular practice, strengthens resilience. Please join YWCA Greenwich Domestic Abuse Services staff in exploring how a consistent self-care practice can build and maintain RESILIENCE .
